FROM LANCE ING

Thank you all who have contacted me expressing kind words, condolences, thoughts and prays regarding the passing of my father, Walter Ing, Monday  December 10, 2007.  My Father was a World War II Navy Veteran, retired Postman, husband of 52 years, father of eight children.  He died from aggressive small cell lung cancer.

Judo was my dad's passion as he dedicated his life to assist in the growth of youngsters and adults.  He was a 6th degree Black Belt in Judo and 3rd degree Black Belt in Ju-Jitsu and was a national level referee and instructor/Sensei at the Port Jervis, NY Judo Camp.

For over 20 years he volunteered and helped in the development of many Judo Olympians.  Additionally, he started up many programs on Long Island, NY as a volunteer instructor at YMCA's, PAL clubs, other Dojo's.  He stayed committed to his passion to instruct new and experienced judoka [students] even at 80 years old.

We are asking that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be sent to the Memorial Judo Camp
Scholarship we have set up in my dad's name.

For any memorial contributions:

Thank you for your compassion, thoughts and prayers,
